If you would like to backup your external hard drive or mapped drive, please refer to the how to Backup a mapped drive section of this guide.

  1. Double-click on the 365BackUp icon 365Backup Icon displayed at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen to launch the Backup Client.
  2. Select "Options". Enter your password when prompted.
  3. We recommend changing the "Number of Versions to Save" to 7 and "Minimum Delay Between Versions" to 24 hours. That will allow you to restore older versions of the data from a week ago (We use delta block incremental backup, so saving 7 versions will not increase your storage by a lot). After you change the settings, click "Apply".
  4. Select the "Open Files" tab.
  5. Click the "Install Open File Driver" button to install the driver. The Open File Driver allows you to backup files even when they are held open by another application. After you install the driver, click "OK".
